Each of our designs goes through a series of shaping, molding, sandblasting, polishing and hand carving by skilled artisans. Slight imperfections or even small air bubbles may be found in the material. This is a characteristic of the process used and adds to the beauty of our handmade products.
All of our designs are durable, shatter resistant, food safe, easy to clean and stain resistant against natural colors found in foods and liquids.
Are your items food safe?
Yes, all of our items are food safe and are suitable for serving room temperature and cold food. Our materials have been tested by a laboratory to meet FDA standards for food safety and are lead free.
Are your items dishwasher safe?
Yes, our items are dishwasher safe. Except for our espresso and amber finishes, our products have been tested to meet both consumer and industry standard dishwashers. We recommend using a mild detergent.
Are your items oven and microwave safe?
No. Resin is not fire resistant and should never be used in an oven or a microwave.
Can sharp objects, such as knives, be used with your items?
No. Please be sure to never use sharp objects or abrasive cleansers on our materials, as they can damage and scratch the item.
How do I treat scratches?
If scratches occur, do not worry, they can be easily removed. Simply use a Dobie or Scotch Brite pad to rub a rub a few drop of vegetable oil or cooking spray on the affected area. Rinse with mild soap and water.
How do I treat loss of luster?
Resin may appear lightly frosted after washing due to detergent residue. If this occurs, it can easily be removed by rubbing the item with a soft cloth and a few drops of vegetable oil. If desired, you can rinse with mild soap and water. This process will restore the piece to its original luster. If preferred, the frosted appearance can also be left . It will not affect the quality or usage of the item.
Are your items breakable?
Our resin items are strong and durable, but they should be treated like ceramic as they can break if dropped on a hard surface.
Candle Holder Safety.
Resin is not a fire resistant material. A glass insert must always be used with a lit candle and the user must ensure that the flame is always below the glass insert.
